1. Agreement to terms

By booking and using Digital Skills Australia’s services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not book or use our services.

2. Services Provided

Digital Skills Australia provides in-person technology training, computer setup, technical support services, and 24/7 phone support as described on our website and in your booking confirmation. In-person services are delivered at the location specified in your booking. Phone support is available around the clock, subject to the limitations outlined in these terms.

3. Service Area and Travel Fees

Our standard service area covers locations within 100 kilometers of our nearest registered staff member’s location. We reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings for locations beyond this maximum radius. For services provided beyond 15 kilometers from our nearest registered staff member’s location a travel fee of $1.00 per kilometers (calculated from the 16th kilometres onward) will apply and will be added to your final invoice.

We travel up to 100km maximum. The first 15km is included free, then we charge $1 per km after that. For example, if you're 30km away, you'd pay $15 travel fee (30km – 15km = 15km × $1). We can decline bookings outside our 100km limit.

4. Booking and Cancellation

Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment or booking confirmation. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the service cost. Digital Skills Australia reserves the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to technician illness, severe weather, or vehicle breakdown. In such cases, we will provide reasonable notice and offer to reschedule at no additional cost.

Once you book and pay, you're confirmed. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, we may charge up to half the service cost. We can also cancel if something unexpected happens (like illness or bad weather), and we'll reschedule you for free.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of service unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance. We accept cash, credit card, and electronic bank transfer. Any additional services requested during the appointment that were not included in the original booking will be charged at our standard rates and invoiced accordingly.

6. Service Guarantee and Limitations

We strive to provide high-quality service and training. However, Digital Skills Australia does not guarantee specific outcomes or that all technical issues can be resolved. We are not responsible for loss of data, equipment failure, or issues arising from manufacturer defects, pre-existing conditions, or circumstances beyond our control. We strongly recommend backing up important data before any service appointment.

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information about their technical needs, ensuring necessary equipment and materials are available during the appointment, providing a safe working environment, and ensuring they have the legal right to access and modify any devices or accounts we work on during the service.

8. Intellectual Property

All materials provided by Digital Skills Australia, including training guides, documentation, and resources, remain our intellectual property. These materials are provided for your personal use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or sold without our written permission.

9. Liability Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Digital Skills Australia’s total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes to Terms

Digital Skills Australia reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
